ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF RESEARCH, CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION LAB, NYU LANGONE HEALTH
Dr. Shah is currently Assistant Professor of Medicine, Director of Internal Medicine Residency Research, and Associate Director of Research in the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at NYU. She also directs the Transcatheter Valve Program at the Manhattan VA Hospital. She was a KL2 Scholar and recipient of a grant from the American Heart Association Clinical Research Program, and is currently principal investigator of an ongoing double-blind, randomized, placebo-controlled trial evaluating the anti-inflammatory effects of colchicine in acute vascular injury. Dr. Shah’s other areas of clinical research interest include optimization of transradial coronary catheterization and transcatheter valve procedures. Dr. Shah serves on multiple national committees including the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions Emerging Leadership Mentorship, American Heart Association Interventional Cardiovascular Care, and American College of Cardiology NCDR STS/TVT Registry Research and Publications committees.
SOHAH IQBAL, MD
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR OF THE CARDIAC CATHETERIZATION LAB AT BELLEVUE HOSPITAL AND ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR OF MEDICINE AT NYU SCHOOL OF MEDICINE
Dr. Sohah N. Iqbal is the Associate Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Lab at Bellevue Hospital and Assistant Professor of Medicine at NYU School of Medicine. She received her MD at Harvard Medical School and completed Internal Medicine Residency at Columbia University Medical Center. After completing training in Cardiovascular Diseases and Interventional Cardiology at NYU Langone Medical Center, she has remained on faculty as an Interventional Cardiologist for almost a decade. Dr. Iqbal’s clinical interested include complex coronary interventions, coronary imaging, and women’s heart disease. Her educational interests include tailored decision making especially in light of the ever advancing field of cardiology. Dr. Iqbal serves on multiple committees including the American Heart Association NY Chapter Medical Advisory Committee as Chair, the American College of Cardiology Simulation Workgroup, and the Society of Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions 2019 Scientific Session Planning Committee.
